ABOUT WORKING EQUITATION
In 2020 the Gisborne District Adult Riding Club merged with Macedon Ranges Working Equitation. Working Equitation is a fascinating and fun equestrian sport designed to promote classical riding principles and to showcase the working riding culture of different countries. Working Equitation is a fun way to train seriously. It involves both flat work and obstacles similar to those encountered whilst working on a property. Training this way gives purpose to dressage - it makes more sense to the horses and it's fun for the rider! Working Equitation is now well established as an international sport in 19 countries. It is overseen by the World Association for Working Equitation (WAWE), which governs the annual World Championship events. 3 Phase Equitation became an official HRCAV discipline from 1 September.
