Rallies
GDARC holds regular rallies for members offering lessons in dressage, poles, show jumping, cross country and obstacles. Our rallies give members a chance to ride with others at a similar level, learn from a range of quality instructors and get to know each other over lunch. An overview is provided below and please check out our Rally Guidelines for more information about what to expect at a rally.
Members riding at rallies are asked to help out for a short period of time around their riding time/s. This may be arena preparation, set up, clean up, pole pick or pack up etc. Occasionally we'll ask participants to contribute something small to share at lunch. We ask all attendees to keep the club grounds (or rally venue) neat and tidy by picking up manure and placing it in the manure bays provided, clean yards and hang the chains up after use to prevent rusting. We love making our rallies social occasions! It's a great opportunity to connect with fellow riders and enthusiasts.
When: Rallies are held every 2nd Saturday of the month. We may offer a second rally on the fourth weekend of the month for working equitation/obstacles. From time to time we offer additional "pop up" rallies. Go to our club page on Event Secretary to view rally dates and information https://eventsecretary.com.au/clubs/gdar/rallies.
Duration: Lessons are 45 minutes in pairs or an hour long in groups of 3-4 riders. Riders are welcome to participate in more than one lesson.
