Welcome to Gisborne & District Adult Riding Club

2012 TTT Showing News - Message from GDARC Club President
I'm delighted to let you know that our fabulous TTT Showing Team, Martinis and
Mojitos, WON TTT Showing this weekend!!!

An outstanding result as it was the biggest TTT Showing event ever with 350 riders and 82 Teams. It was pretty tight too with just 1 point separating Gisborne from the 2nd placed team.
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to ANNA SHORTT, BIANCA VENEZIANO, KAREN MIDDLEBROOK & SARAH BRIDGE, fantastic achievement ladies!!! Extra carrots and pats for your neddies too.

Well done to all our riders, above plus our composites GILLIAN LEACH & KRISTIE BLOEM for representing our club in true Gisborne style. Many ribbons, Championships and Highpoints were won and I understand fun was had by all.

As usual, full results will be available on the HRCAV website shortly and I'm sure Anna will put together an Extra Special Feature for the next newsletter including all the individual results so look out for that! Riders - don't forget to send your results to Karen and Anna for inclusion in both the newsletter and end of year awards.

Bulla ARC hosted an efficient and enjoyable event at the Geelong Showgrounds and there was a great atmosphere when I was there earlier
today for volunteering duties.

SPECIAL MENTION to KAREN MIDDLEBROOK for not only being a member of the winning team but also for organising the
entries and judging all day today.

Thanks to everyone involved including all our helpers and supporters.

Yet another proud moment to remember in the life of GDARC......

Lucy (GDARC President)

Gisborne is situated approximately 60km north of Melbourne along the Calder Highway in the Mount Macedon foothills.

Gisborne & District Adult Riding Club is a small club of about 40 members and was originally called the Couangalt Riding Club and
was formed in 1991.

Our aim is for horse riders to enjoy themselves and learn something along the way. We encourage members who want to go out and
compete, and have had teams in all of the HRCAV Top Team Trophy events, often with riders who have not been our and about much before. All levels, breeds, steeds and genders welcome!

Our rallies are usually on the second Saturday of the month and are held at the IR Robertson Reserve, Couangalt Road, Gisborne South.
The grounds are well equipped with a sand arena, cross country course, club rooms, shedding and yards. We share the use of jumping equipment with the Gisborne Pony Club. The cross country course consists of a number of fences for
levels 2,3,4 and 5. In Winter we visit a variety of local indoor arenas.

Rallies often include dressage, show jumping and cross country lessons. We often have mid-week rallies and trail rides. We like to make
our rallies social occasions which take the form of one hours lessons with groups of 2-3 riders with top shelf instructors. Lunch is usually
available.

Our club uniform colours are very appealing being navy blue, pale blue and white.
