About
Gisborne & District Adult Riding Club was formed in 1991 and was originally called the Couangalt Riding Club. In 2020 the club merged with Macedon Ranges Working Equitation. The club currently has around 125 members. We welcome all levels of riders and all breeds, steeds and genders. Our members vary from those who have been riding for many years, to those who have only recently started riding or may just be returning from a long break. Our aim is for riders to enjoy themselves and learn something along the way. We encourage our members to attend rallies and to go out and compete if they wish. We have had teams in all of the HRCAV Top Team Trophy events, often with riders who have not been out and about much before. |
The grounds are well equipped with:
- Three sand arenas
- Cross country course
- A brand-new club house with heating and air conditioning
- Wash-bays
- Yards with tree shading
Rallies
We hold rallies offering lessons in dressage, poles, showjumping, cross-country and obstacles (3PE) every second Saturday of the month. You must be a current member or purchase a day membership to participate in a rally. When numbers permit, we invite members of other HRCAV clubs to participate in our rallies.
